Dr. Christine V. Tomaszewski was born in the Philippines in 1965. Her family came to the United States and settled in Michigan in 1976. She did her undergraduate work, majoring in Biology at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. She further received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from The University of Detroit Mercy, School of Dentistry in 1990. Immediately after graduation from dental school she became a Dental Naval Officer. Her duty stations included the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego, the San Diego Naval Station, the USS Jason (AR-8), a Repair Tender home ported in San Diego, CA, then as the Director of the Dental Clinic at Naval Weapons Station, Concord, CA, and her last duty station was as the last Director of the Dental Clinic at Treasure Island, San Francisco, CA. She served as a Dental Naval Officer for 8 years.
Chris and. Art Tomaszewski were married, November 20th 1993. After her naval career, she took time from work to start her family. After their first child was born, Chris started to teach at the University of Pacific, School of Dentistry as an Assistant Professor in Restorative Dentistry from 1998 to 2004. When their two children were at school full time, Chris also decided to return to work full time. She currently works as a Dentist for St. Joseph Health System, Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital on a Mobile Dental Clinic, 4 days a week. The Mobile Clinic serves the low income population of Sonoma County. She also joins her husband in private practice once a week. She loves balancing work and family, and enjoys running, reading and traveling.
